The Durga temples are situated all throughout India. These temples are related to several incarnations of Devi Durga. All together, these temples elaborate the story of the all-pervading divine, which created the primordial source of energy through Maa Durga. Some of the famous Durga Temples in India are:

Whether be Durga Pooja or Durga temple, the main purpose is to honor the Devi and her victory over Evil. This goddess is not a fiction of imagination or a character from the ancient leaflets and scriptures. Devi Durga epitomizes the ultimate woman whose brave and gallant actions save the entire heavens and world from Demons and yet is the beautiful wife of Lord Shiva and graceful mother of her four little children.
